Real Patients. Real Mentorship. Real Impact.

Ohio Health Clinic is proud to offer structured clinical internship and elective programs designed especially for international medical trainees seeking meaningful, hands-on experience in a community setting.

Interns gain hands-on experience across multiple departments including maternity, pediatrics, general medicine, minor procedures, laboratory work, and community health outreach. Under the guidance of experienced Ugandan clinicians, participants benefit from rich cultural immersion, exposure to a wide range of medical cases, and the opportunity to make a real difference in an underserved community.

What Makes this Elective Different

Clinical Volume & Variety

An underserved, high-need setting means a breadth and pace of cases that's hard to match in a classroom.

One-on-One Mentorship

Small teams mean real face time with experienced clinicians, not just observation from the back of the room.

Cultural Immersion

Live within the Namataba community and understand healthcare through a global, human lens.

Purpose-Driven Work

Leave knowing your time directly improved care for families who needed it.
